Our Story…

We have been together for 15 awesome years that all began with a one dollar football bet.  Of those 15 years, we have celebrated 13 years of marriage.  We enjoy spending our free time together. We like to ride our motorcycle on beautiful sunny days, work outdoors in the yard planning our child’s play area, barbeque and roast marshmallows with friends and family.  We look forward to the time when we can involve our child in the things we enjoy such as watching the classic Disney movies, reading on the front porch in the evenings, and taking walks around the neighborhood with our dogs, Amos and Harley.  Our child will enhance the things we enjoy and make each moment more memorable.

Jerry through Suzanne’s Eyes…

Jerry is my soul mate and I knew so from the beginning! He has qualities that you hope to find in the man you marry; he is patient, tender, loving, and shows these emotions daily.  He is a child magnet; nieces, nephews, and friends’ children of all ages want to be around him.  When at family gatherings, Jerry can be found on the floor playing with the children.  Jerry will be an awesome hands-on dad and is already planning adventures to share with our child. Jerry enjoys being in the United States Air Force and is lucky to be part of a command that offers stability, allowing him to remain in North Carolina until retirement.   His command is very family oriented and encourages family time.

Suzanne through Jerry’s Eyes…

Suzanne is a great partner!  She is my best friend and I enjoy our time spent together.  She is strong both mentally and physically and these are traits that will be passed onto our child.  She is a nurturer.  She loves to take care of things, which include me, our home, and our two rambunctious puppies.  She will be a great mother!  She is excited to prepare bottles, go on walks, read bedtime stories and give lots of love to our child.  Suzanne works part time, and is working towards becoming a substitute teacher in the local school district.  She enjoys working with children of all ages and it will give her the flexibility to be the stay at home mom she has always desired to be.

Family Ties…

We are both lucky enough to be from large families, which means many aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course 2 sets of grandparents to love our child.  We have over 30 nephews and nieces of all ages waiting to be playmates.  We cherish the times when we are surrounded by family.  Both of our families love to celebrate holidays and events with big family gatherings. We look forward to getting our child’s first picture on Santa’s lap when he visits Grandma and Grandpa Thomasson’s house every Christmas Eve.  Grandma and Grandpa Neitenbach are excited to teach their grandchild how to swim, go on boat rides, and make their famous cookies and pies.

Home Sweet Home…

We live in Sanford, NC, a quiet community 45 minutes from the Raleigh area.  Living in North Carolina has been wonderful; it offers us the opportunity to hike in the mountains and play on the sandy beaches all within 2 hours.  Our small neighborhood is full of children biking, playing tag, and swimming.  We also enjoy activities through Jerry’s job that include a monthly play group which provides mothers and their children a chance to come together.  Our child will experience Easter egg hunts, Christmas festivities, and swim parties that surround them with friends and allow them many different life experiences.
